Known for it's tropical climate, white sandy beaches, and beautifully tanned bodies, Miami has fallen to the same fate as Chicago. Mysterious darkness has gripped Miami in it's hands. Being used to things such as hurricanes and riots, Miamians go about their lives as if nothing has happened.

Miami is a city where people see what they want to see, the influx of vampyres goes by virtually unnoticed, except by the ones looking, Hunters. It is their job to notice these things, and they have seen the quantity increase as vampyres come seeking total freedom from sunlight.

Others who have come are ones trying to seek answers to this mystery. First Chicago, then Miami. Why? Why these two cities, and where next? Will the balance ever be restored?

For now the hunters have the upper hand. Having seen the chaos of Chicago, they come fully prepared, ready to take on any who seek to capitalize upon the darkness. And there are many who come to do just that.

Who are you? Are you a hunter that has come to destroy the creatures of the dark, or one that seeks to end the night? Are you a loyal follower of the Elders, or a rogue vampyre seeking power? Or are you something else which throws the world upside down?

As the balance of day and night is being fought over, so is the balance of good and evil, vampyre and hunter. Which side will come out victorious is unknown. Thus begins the battle for The Equilibrium of Night.
