Lakes, rivers, Puget Sound, and mountains surround Seattle, christened "The Emerald City". Seattle is known as the birthplace for crazes like grunge rock and espresso coffee. It has been dubbed as one of the most livable cities in the world. That is, until now. Eternal darkness has ensnared Seattle, bringing the city count up to three.

Unlike Chicago, where its residents vacated the city, and Miami, where the residents are indifferent, the citizens of Seattle are fighting for the life of their city. As vampyres and hunters pour in, Seattle's residents are taking a stand. Not only against the influx of blood hungry creatures, but against the mysterious darkness. They have taken it upon themselves to be the first of the three to escape this evil denizen.

The vampyres that arrive find their life is not as easy as they thought it would be. In a time when they are free to roam at all hours, they find danger awaiting them at every turn. The hunter's difficulties are no different. The citizens are not taking kindly to the strangers who claim to be there to protect. They feel it is their city and their responsibility. As the rain pours down over the city, so does the blood.

Who are you? Are a hunter that comes to destroy the creatures of the dark, or one that seeks to end the night? Are you a loyal follower of the Elders, or a rogue vampyre seeking power? Or are you something else that throws the world upside down?

As the balance of day and night are being fought over, so is the balance of good and evil, vampyre and hunter. Which side will come out victorious is unknown. Thus continues the battle for The Equilibrium of Night.
