| NAME. Vincent "Vin" Carbon AFFILIATION. Werewolf (former Hunter) AGE. 30 DESCRIPTION. Vin is tall and burly, with the muscularity and fitness of a man who lives an active life and engages in regular exercise. His dark hair is kept close-cropped to about the length of two-day stubble, which matches his often-unshaven jaw. Vin is good looking in a low-key way... the magnetism bestowed by his healthy, conditioned body serving to make him interesting to look at much more than his features. On Vin's left shoulder is a Marine Corps tattoo; his right forearm is incircled with several tattooed bands of Celtic knotwork, worked in black and midnight blue. At the right of Vin's neck, low, and spilling down the right side of his chest are several nasty scars, seemingly received by the vicious tearing and biting of a savage animal. Vin's preferred style of dress is generally blue or black jeans and hiking boots, an ever-present black or gray sleeveless shirt, and loose-fitting denim button-shirt to match the color of his jeans. In colder seasons, Vin wears a black suede jacket that hangs to mid-thigh, occasionally with a nondescript baseball cap. INFORMATION. Vin served 6 years in the United States Marine Corps, learning and honing the skills and capabilities that he would eventually employ after the Service, as an adventurer and occasional freelance 'Monster Hunter'. This career took him over the world, to many locales and into many strange and usually dangerous situations. He earned a minor reputation for courage and reliability as a Hunter, but nothing of great distinction. He was serving a year's contract in Scotland, working with a team of Hunters, when he met with his life-changing 'accident'. Camping in the Highlands while off duty, he was discovered by a mad, rogue werewolf and attacked. Vin survived the mauling and killed the creature during a frenzied, savage battle, but found himself marked with the lycanthrope curse. He left Scotland immediately and spent the next year wandering Europe in search of a cure before finally returning to America in failure. He has been wandering the country, keeping a low profile and avoiding packs as he struggled to come to terms with his new and terrible nature. He has now resigned himself to his curse and has been feeling the instinctive call of companionship, the need to give up his lone wolf ways and join with a pack. Though Vin is accepting his montrouse nature, his new duality is still a source of consternation at times. He has difficulty reconcilling his old role of Hunter with the possibility of becoming a Hunted in the future. Presently, he does not believe that he could kill a Hunter, as he still identifies with the role, though he understands that this quirk of morality could prove fatal. Having become one of the monters, he is also uncertain about his feelings towards vampyres at present. Ultimately, he would like to live a low-key, quiet life, but fears that this may no longer be a viable option. PLAYER EMAIL. protagonist@nyc.rr.com |
